Ace Hardware 90th Anniversary Microsite

While working at a creative agency in 2014, one of my projects was a  promotional micro-site for a popular national hardware store. Some talented designers came up with the core concept and all the graphics. I wrote the code to make the design come to life, and look amazing (and still work) on any screen size or orientation. It took a lot of math and many many late nights, for a website the client kept alive for about three weeks.

The site is a single-page-scrolling giant timeline, illustrating the history of Ace Hardware. Each 'page' is an interactive representation of a year in Ace's history. Users are encouraged to drag the middle slider from left-to-right to see the historic imagery contrasted against the modern.

This is the same page as above, on a tablet-sized display. Instead of a user-controllable slide, the slider "jumps" between the before/after/middle positions. The years are now represented by dots at the bottom of the screen, instead of stacked on the left side.
